Edgar San Diego's creative talent in combining colors, textures, patterns with different cultures and period inspirations has created for him a niche in the Fashion and Costume business.
He is pioneering member of the Fashion Designers Association of the Philippines, where he served as President for 3 terms. During the 25th anniversary of the association in 2006, he spear-headed the group in publishing the coffee table book, "Sagala", The Queen of Philippine Festival" which was launched in Manila, New York and Los Angeles, California.
He has created costumes for the productions of "The Wizard of Oz", "The Man of La Manza", "Alladin", "Rent", "The Sound of Music", "M Butterfly", among others.
He is a regular participant of the Philippine Fashion Week
He has showcased his collections in New York, California, Honolulu, Florida, Kansas, Chicago, Arizona, Missouri, London, Singapore, Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur.
Edgar had won several awards and citations like:
• Best in Haute Couture in the "Manila Fashion Designers
Award 1999"
• Grand Prix winner for Best in Costume Design and a trip to
Rio de Jeneiro, Brazil in the "Carnival in Rio, in Manila"
• Best in Costume Design in the "Artist and Models Ball"
• Philippine representative for the " Asian Fashion
Connections" in Singapore
• Mounted solo fashion shows in Manila like "Viva San
Diego"and "Disenyo at Musika" with the UP Concert Chorus
• Won several titles at the annual "Flores de Mayo",
organized by the Congregasion del Niño de Jesus
